We have a strong community ethos, which involves giving to our community through our social engagement arm Teleios Community Initiatives (TCI), run by Pastor Marilyn Bailey. Through our initiatives, we feed, clothe and provide many with important necessities and continue to do so.
Teleios church is in Turffontein, an area in the South of Johannesburg. Turffontein and most of the surrounding areas have people living in some of the most severe living conditions. With small businesses and big companies alike closing down and moving out in the area because of the rapid increase of drugs, prostitution and violence and other related crimes in the area, circumstances in these communities are worsening by the day. With the influx of both nationals and foreign nationals, these communities are becoming so overpopulated that it presents schools, clinics, hospitals and even policing services with insurmountable challenges that they just are not equipped to deal with. This requires a great level of divine intervention from organisations such as ours and many others. Teleios have partnered with institutions such as the police, schools and some of the few businesses remaining in the South of Johannesburg to help close the gap and overcome these challenges in these areas.
We have specifically adopted Turffontein Primary School, where many disadvantaged children from the surrounding areas attend school. For Turffontein Primary we are currently running these ongoing initiatives:
