Teleios Church

A Place Where You Can Grow

Who We Are

We are a multiracial and multigenerational faith community in the South of Johannesburg, South Africa. We are a teaching house with a strong community ethos. Our singular aim is the maturation of the believer in their journey, hence the name Teleios. The name Teleios is derived from Hebrews 6:1 “…..therefore let us go unto maturity….”

When you encounter us, you will experience strong fellowship, genuine love and sound teaching that will challenge you and invite you into a matured place in your journey!

Our Journey

If we have to rewind back the clock Teleios Church was just not on the bucket list of things to do. Our founding Pastor grew up in orthodox Christianity and church was more a family tradition than a deep conviction stemming from genuine conversion. Fast forward to the early 2000s where our founding Pastor Brandon Bailey had a genuine encounter with God as a young adult.

This encounter moved him to enrol in bible school and also assume different leadership roles in the church he was a part of. During this period he met his wife to be; Marilyn and little did they know that their joining would lead to the birth of Teleios Church.

On a freezing morning of the 17th May 2009 this young couple had their maiden service as Teleios Church. Both of them were officially set into the

ministry a year later by Dr Michael Scantlebury and Elder Sandra Scantlebury who continue to serve as the apostolic covering of Teleios Church. The ministry has grown in leaps and bounds and has undergone many transitions.

Today Teleios Church is a vibrant kingdom community in the south of Johannesburg led by this dynamic couple who stepped out in obedience when God called them. Brandon & Marilyn continue to impact lives with the mandate God gave them at the inception of this church “Bring my people to maturity”.

For them, the journey of raising up a matured people in South Africa and the nations of the earth continues through Teleios Church and other platforms of ministry God gave them for the extension of the kingdom.
